First Nations on Vancouver Island have won an "economic and cultural victory" allowing them to catch and sell fish in their territory. The BC Court of Appeal ruled on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 in a landmark case that has spanned almost a decade that five Nuu-chah-nulth bands not only have a historic aboriginal right to catch fish but also the right to make a living doing so.
