Interview on CBC As It Happens about BC Court of Appeal decision on private medical records, April 2023 (at 47:30)

Will is a graduate of the University of Victoria’s joint-degree program in Canadian Common Law (JD) and Indigenous Legal Orders (JID). While articling at Ratcliff, Will is eager to support Nations as they assert their inherent rights and revitalize their Indigenous legal orders.

Prior to joining Ratcliff, Will worked for a community legal aid clinic in Northern BC where he worked alongside Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en Elders at the Hazelton Indigenous Court. Will also worked for the Balance Co-Lab, a project supporting First Nations’ sustainable economic development, where he gained particular expertise in the areas of Indigenous fishing rights and environmental co-governance.

Will was raised on Coast Salish territory and is a settler of British and French ancestry. Outside of work, he can be found on his bike, in the kitchen, or supporting his beloved Liverpool Football Club.

Indigenous Elders Justice Symposium 2025, Planning Committee Member.
