Interview on CBC As It Happens about BC Court of Appeal decision on private medical records, April 2023 (at 47:30)

Karmen Secen embarked on her journey with Ratcliff LLP in 2017, initially joining as a legal assistant with a specialization in real estate. Hailing from the Law School in Croatia, she obtained her Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation after successfully completing her Canadian equivalency examinations.

Having navigated through various roles in both Croatian and Canadian legal landscapes, primarily as a paralegal focused on real estate and corporate matters, she has discovered that her real passion is in being a solicitor, working directly with clients to achieve their legal needs and goals from start to finish in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Outside of the office, Karmen enjoys experimenting in the kitchen and hosting gatherings for friends and family. She cherishes moments with her husband and snuggles with her two young boys. As a family, they embrace road trips, camping, and exploring new destinations together.
