Lauren is eager to support Ratcliff’s Aboriginal law practice in the areas of:

  • Aboriginal and Treaty rights
  • Treaty implementation
  • Negotiation and resolution of specific claims
  • Environmental and administrative law

Prior to law school, Lauren worked in non-profit organizations where she developed a passion for community building and social justice.

  • Presenter – Balanced Supply of Housing Spring Workshop “Comparing Evictions Processes Across Canada” (2024)
  • Presenter – Property Law Class at UBC “Residential Tenancy in BC” (2025)

During law school, Lauren honed research and advocacy skills volunteering with Bella Coola Legal Advocacy Program and the Tenant Resource and Advisory Centre. During her semester at the Indigenous Community Legal Clinic, Lauren provided free legal services to Indigenous peoples across BC in the areas of family, criminal, estates, and more. She was also involved in club executive roles with Pro Bono Students Canada, the Social Welfare Law and Policy Society, and Environmental Law Group.
