Lisa C. Glowacki
After receiving a masters degree in Latin American history, Lisa attended law at the University of Victoria, graduating in 2001. She then spent several years in Mexico working at a community human rights organization assisting indigenous communities with issues relating to land claims, indigenous rights and international law.
In September, 2004, she returned to article with Ratcliff & Company, where she continues to practice in the litigation department, primarily representing First Nations clients. In addition to aboriginal law, environmental and constitutional law are important areas of Lisa’s practice. She spent much of 2011 representing an environmental coalition before the Cohen Commission of Inquiry. She also works with various community organizations in Vancouver (particularly Pivot), assisting with a range of legal and social justice issues.
